So I’ve been hearing about how certain people in the SNK/AOT fandom are portraying Rivaille as a sadist because he beat up Eren in episode 14.

While it’s funny to make light out of it, please don’t bastardize Rivaille’s character as a freaking sadist because he ISN’T.

He did it for a REASON. Even Eren understood why.

Eren would have been freaking shot if he wasn’t beaten.

Not to mention that Rivaille is a strict lance corporal and a squad leader, of course he had to do it, it was DISCIPLINE. The military isn’t all fun and games. It’s a struggle for survival.

I fail to see how that is sadism. And he only did it once, Levi does not beat people daily.
